Richard Meredith joins the team.

We are delighted to announce that Richard Meredith, an experienced formation and aerobatic pilot, has agreed to join the team. Richard brings with him decades of formation experience having lead the Turb team for many years and also a wealth of knowledge as an aerobatics instructor at the Tiger Club. Richard is a share holder of G-OODE based at Headcorn and so the aeroplane line up will remain the same.

The Stampe Team are proud to have been featured in January's 70th anniversary edition of the Aeroplane magazine in a 7 page article. The article is accompanied by some superb air to air photographs taken by renowned photographer, Darren Harbar, from a friends Cessna Bird dog at old Warden towards the end of Summer 2021. Chris Jesson and Stu Goldspink are interviewed and the article tells the story both of the team and Stu's Stampe and it's special relationship with his family. A copy of this magazine would give an excellent insight into the team and also some fabulous images.

This years Stampe Club International fly-in has been arranged for the 25-26th August and we can confirm that the Stampe team will be present for both days, following the Sidmouth regatta and airshow. Last year saw the Belgium "Penguin Formation" bring their 4 ship team of brightly coloured orange Belgium Air Force Stampe and so there could be the prospect of two Stampe display teams present in the UK for the first time ever!

It's a wrap!

The team's appearance at the Sidmouth airshow and regatta brought to an end an enjoyable and successful season. The weekend was a wet one, with all the aeroplanes and pilots receiving a good soaking both flying to and flying home from the show, but the show itself was reasonably dry with a good crowd sheltering under umbrellas on the beach and the promenade of the lovely town of Sidmouth. The Stampes opened the show and were followed by the Ravens, the Titans and the RAF Red Arrows and so the crowd were treated to a very smart air display organised by the Sidmouth Town council.

 

Our thanks go to all the airfields that helped us over the weekend, including Farway Common and Dunkeswell and everyone at Sidmouth for the lovely welcome both at the show and later in the town itself. 

 

Thanks for all your support during the season, it has been great to meet with many airshow goers and we have all had some amazing experiences and we are already thinking about what changes and additions we can make to the display for 2024. Some stats for you, we have flown 11 displays this season and by our reckoning we have performed in front of approximately 111,000 spectators.

2024 Season a huge success.

The season came to an end on the 5th September with what was supposed to be another first for the team, displaying at the Goodwood Revival launch party, but was ruined by terrible weather. Whilst we tried our best to get to Goodwood and departed Redhill to display, the low cloud base, poor visibility and rain stopped us and we were forced to cancel the show. This was disappointing but did not dampen our spirits after what has been a successful and enjoyable season for the team. A notable firsts for us this season was appearing at the Farnborough International Airshow during July which was made possible by our sponsors, Gravity Global Marketing. The display needed to be modified to fit into the display area in the built up surrounds of Farnborough but all of the team pulled off a fabulous display and spent the day at FIA signing posters and handing out team stickers to young "pioneers."

Compton Abbas was another first for us and was again hampered by poor weather with the Stampe Team being one of the few able to perform on day 1 of this Aerolegends display and at Clacton, the first day was weathered off but we were able to appear on the second. As well as firsts, we displayed with old friends at The Midlands Air Festival, Stow Maries, Old Warden and Headcorn at these well established and well run shows. 

 

And now, onto 2025. We already have a new invite that we will hope to announce shortly and as the diary fills, watch this website and our instagram page #stampeformation for all the new updates as we have them.

Last chance to see the Stampes this season!!!

Hi ! We will be displaying at Bradwell Bay on Saturday 20th September at 13:00 local and then at Lee on Solent's, Victory festival and airshow at 16:56 and then on Sunday 21st September, again at Lee on Solent at 16:43. This will be our 21st display of the season, which has seen us perform infant of more than 1 million keen airshow goers, and easily a record for the Stampes. Its been an amazing season but we can't wait to see you one last time this weekend.

The dates are already going into the diary for 2026, some of them very exciting, but more news as we have it once 2025 is complete

  2025 the busiest season ever!

  1. 2025 proved to be a bumper year when it came to Stampe Team displays as the team appeared in 20 displays. Several venues were new to the team, such as Bradwell Bay, Old Buckenham, Chelsfield and several more. Appearing infant of three quarters of a million people at Eastbourne was a huge buzz for all of us and we hope to repeat the experience again soon. If you came out to watch u during 2025 then tank you so much. We are very grateful for the interest shown in our team and we hope to see you again during 2026.
